A Hurdle That You Have To Clear

Tom Reagan is a young adman working at an advertising company.  One morning he came to his office and Nancy Paton, his colleague, said to him,

Nancy: The boss was calling you to his room.   He looked somewhat bad-tempered.

His boss is Donald Sharman, the Planning Manager of the company, who is in his mid-fifties and is a little overweight.  He isn’t liked very much by his staff because he often gives them extra work.  Tom thinks he is too difficult.Tom went into his room.
