How an Unknown Actress Got a Chance

Nia Vardalos was an unknown actress of Canadian and of Greek descent.  She started her career as an actress at a local theater.  Later, she moved to Los Angeles, and appeared in a variety of small rolls on TV shows.  Then, at the age of 30, she reached a turning point. She married an American actor.  This greatly changed her life.
