Situated in the outskirts of Oxford is a World Heritage Site called Blenheim Palace. Winston Churchill was born in this palace in 1874. His father was a member of the House of Commons, and his mother was a daughter of a wealthy American family.His father, who became the Chancellor of the Exchequer at the age of 36, served as a huge inspiration for Churchill.
